Here at VDCM, our team strives to surpass our client’s expectations by providing superior quality products which is demonstrated through our craftsmanship to meet our client’s needs.

How it all started

Building on a strong foundation of faith, quality and having control of the final project outcome, founder Richard Stevanus had strong beliefs of ensuring that all customers must receive an outstanding project from start to finish.

From the building construction process, founder Richard soon discovered that he also had to create a Millwork division to ensure not only the exterior design and quality of the building was present, but that the interior fit and finish was also composed of quality materials and built with the finest craftsmanship. Since 1989 VDCM Architectural Woodwork Inc. has grown into the company it is today, with strong work ethics, dedicated and supportive ownership with loyal employees. Richard is proud that his son Tim and a solid group of employees have the same passion and dedication to design and provide a superior product.

Tim Stevanus

Owner - President

Tim’s passion and attention to detail when it comes to millwork doesn’t stop there. Tim graduated with honours in his trade school class and brings with him over 25 years of continuous learning and experience in the field today. Tim’s skill set was instilled in him at a young age working side by side his father and founder Richard Stevanus. Tim enjoys working in many different construction markets and always welcomes a challenge with their custom projects.

Jeff Sallows

Project & Shop Design Manager & Field Manager

As a Conestoga College Graduate, a Red Seal Cabinetmaker, and over 20 years of experience, Jeff has a well-versed background in the industry that include, shop fabrication, and on-site installations. Knowing these aspects of the trade have helped Jeff be successful as a project manager and an asset to the VDCM sales and design team. As a project manager, Jeff brings top tier design, estimating, problem solving, and construction knowledge to each project and has extensive experience in both commercial and residential markets. Jeff is very dedicated and knowledgeable with many applications.

Chad Whittington

Project Manager & Estimator

Chad graduated with distinction from Conestoga College’s Architectural Woodworking three-year program and continues to grow in the industry. He has been working in the woodworking industry for over 10 years, with experience in all aspects of the field. Chad takes pride ensuring that the project meets or exceeds the client’s expectations.

Alex Brown

Project Manager & Estimator

After receiving a Woodworking Technology (Co-Operative Education) Diploma with Distinction, Alex joined the VDCM team full time. Now with over ten years’ experience Alex brings his technology background, organizational skills and attention to detail to all his projects. Alex is always working on the manufacturing process to keep VDCM on the leading edge of manufacturing.
